Claire invests a lot of her time to ensure equality between men and women. At BNP Paribas Fortis she was the Head of Diversity and Inclusion for 10 years. Since 2019, Claire joined Febelfin to help the whole financial sector to become more inclusive & diverse.

With more than 30 years of experience in various capacities (in Belgium and abroad) in an integrated bankinsurance group, Christine Van Rijsseghem has gained not only valuable financial knowledge and leadership skills but also financial competence and a large network.

Burçak directs the EBF team dedicated to advancing banks’ financing of inclusive and sustainable growth through SME lending, financial markets and sustainable finance, using regulatory advocacy, research and best practice promotion.

Until 2015, she was the Deputy Director General of FESE. Burçak received the “Lobbyist of the Year” award in a global Euromoney competition in 2003. Before moving to Europe, she worked at the World Bank in Washington, D.C.

A Belgian-Turk, Burçak holds a Political Science B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and a Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard University. She graduated from the American Robert College of Istanbul.

Mohamad is a director in BNY Mellon’s Digital Assets Unit. He work across the BNY Mellon entprise focusing on progressing the digital strategy, fostering an internal culture on innovation and leading on client engagment. Mohamad was previously the Head of BNY Mellon Innovation Hubs for the BeNeLux region identifying solutions for cilents evolving needs and building relationships with the fintech ecosystem. He brings over 15 years of international experience within the financial services industry, spanning roles in digital, innovation, finance & front office. Prior to working for BNY Mellon, he spent 5 years at HSBC in various roles. Mohamad holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Edinburgh and a post graduate degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.

Marie-Elisabeth runs a boutique consultancy specialised in EU affairs, access to finance and programmes for business and investors. Since 1994, she has managed representation offices to the EU, designed novel support programmes promoting diversity, accountability and impact. She joined WIF in 2019 to build the platform’s international alliances and EU relations. 

Monica De Jonghe (°1964) is Director and General Manager of the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (VBO-FEB) as well as Executive Manager of the Competence Center Labor and Social Security, as from October 2018. She is also Member of the National Labour Council and Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the National Labour Council; is Member of the Board of Directors of Women on Board and Vice-President of the Jury of the Sustainability Professional and Pioneer of the Year, by Time4Society and VBO-FEB.
In her role as General Manager of the VBO-FEB she is part of the Group of 10 (the top negotiators of the interprofessional Employers and Unions).
She has a law degree from the KU Leuven and followed the training programme of the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst), for foreign lawyers organised by the German government. This one-year programme took place at the University of Tübingen and the Oberlandesgericht in Düsseldorf. She completed her training at the Law Firm Scholtz, Kraatz, Dittmann und Partner, Rechtsanwälte, established in Düsseldorf, during 6 months.
From January 2000 till February 2005 she worked at the Lawfirm Lontings & Partners (actually Lydian Lawyers), as Counsel, member of the Employment, Pensions & Benefits Department. From October 1994 till December 1999 she was Senior Manager at KPMG Legal & Tax Advisers, head of the Employment Department, and also responsible for the start-up of the Legal Department in 1994. She started her career as Lawyer at the Brussels Bar, at the Lawfirm Ledoux, Jacobs & Clerens Avocats (January 1990–October 1994).
